  • On-site shop for food, toys and camping accessories
Put on your explorer’s hat for your hols at Greenhills Holiday Park, a family-friendly site two minutes’ drive from the small Derbyshire town of Bakewell in Central England. Inside Peak District National Park, Greenhills is a top spot to use as a base for exploring the Peak District. Ramblers and cyclists are well served here: the Monsal Trail starts less than 10 minutes from the site, and Tissington Trail trailhead is 15 minutes away. Want less walking, more tootling along? Get behind the wheel and get motoring or hit up Vintage Adventure Tours in Winster for a trip around the park in a 1929 Ford Phaeton. If you’re loving the flashbacks from the Phaeton, stay in the past with visits to Haddon Hall, Chatsworth House and Bolsover Castle, wander into Bakewell for the Old House Museum or make your way to Magpie Mine. Take a break from your wandering and time travelling back on site, where you can relax in the parkland, play around on the recreation field, stretch Rex’s legs in the dog-walk field, or kick up your feet with a pint of ale in the Stable Bar. When you’re feeling peckish, head to the on-site shop to nab some grub, then cook it up on the barbecue or, if you want to take a break from cooking, sit down at a table in one of the many restaurants in nearby Bakewell for a slap-up meal.
