- Small adults-only site in the Peak District National Park
- Scenic grounds with putting green and boules pitch
- Four-acre dog walking area with Peak District views
For the peak of relaxation in the Peak District National Park, take a peek at Longnor Wood Holiday Park. It’s small, serene and restricted to adults only, in a location circled by woods and farmland, and not far from the village of Longnor.
Guests can spend a leisurely hour or two on the putting green, badminton court or boules pitch, stroll or cycle among the birds and rabbits in the scenic grounds, or simply park themselves on a picnic bench for lovely Longnor views.
Longnor Wood Holiday Park has good facilities, including wifi, excellent showers and toilets in the modern amenities block, a laundry room and small shop, plus a four-acre dog walking area with a viewsome vista of the Peak District National Park.
If you like to eat out, the cobbled square of Longnor village is just over a mile away, and tucked among the surrounding streets you’ll find pubs, a tea shop, chippy, a handful of shops and a craft centre.
The site is a member of the Tranquil Touring Park Group; to maintain its peaceful nature it doesn't accept groups of more than four guests at any time.

Local attractions
Splendiferous stately homes nearby include Chatsworth House, which also has an animal farm park and woodland adventure playground, or Elizabethan Hardwick Hall, where you’ll find events as varied as yoga walking to den-making within the 2,500 acre grounds.
This part of the country is also stuffed with market towns to bumble around: riverfront Bakewell, where it would be rude not to sample the eponymous puddings; Ashbourne, home to over 200 listed buildings; Leek, where you can hop aboard a steam train alongside beautiful Rudyard Lake; Castleton, with a Norman castle and some impressive underground caverns; or Buxton, a splendid spa town with glorious gardens and its own opera house.
The Roaches, near Leek, are far more pleasant than they sound: a prime Peak District spot for walking, hiking and other outdoorsy stuff, with fab views of the surrounding countryside.
