  • Seven-acre camping field behind an award-winning Cotswolds country pub
  • Five minutes' drive from Westonbirt Arboretum and Highgrove House
  • Adults-only site with veg polytunnels, orchards and garden pitches
Off to the Cotswolds? How about pitching up at a classic country pub with top-notch pub grub offering a large undercover outdoor seating area complete with an outside bar? And it being only a mile from gigs and shows at Westonbirt, The National Arboretum? You'll find this all at Tetbury Camping at The Holford Arms, an adults-only site set in a spacious seven-acre green field behind the award-winning Holford Arms pub near Tetbury in the Gloucestershire part of the Cotswolds. Meals at this restored 16th-century pub have won plaudits and prizes for their quality and variety, and always feature local produce plus own-grown fruit and vegetables from the on-site polytunnels. For a real treat, you can also add into the gourmet mix a wide selection of local gins, wine, real ale and craft beer including the pub's own pilsner and IPA. Dogs are welcome to join in all the fun in the pub and on the campsite, and please note that although this is an adult-only campsite, kids are welcome in the pub and other accommodation areas so you may see some of them around the place. Simple facilities for campsite guests include hot showers and washing-up sinks.

Electric optional grass motorhome pitch

Liked: Very quiet, level site, lots of trees and orchards. Electric hookup. The pub is very nice with great food offered in the evenings. Very handy for the National Arboretum.

Disliked: Lack of water taps for filling the van. Didn't seem to be any chemical toilet emptying facilities. Bit of an "end of season" feel. Nothing else.

Orchard non-electric grass tent pitch (four person)

Liked: Nice orchard with full of fruits.

Disliked: Long queue (for drinks/ meals by wedding attendees) at check in which was at the pub’s beer taps. Forgot to ask for the wi-if password. Water is not always warm in the shower. Annoying level of clubmusic was on all night long in a nearby location. Only the pouring rain hushed it at 5:45am.

Orchard non-electric grass tent pitch (four person)

Liked: Perfect location and only 25 minutes drive from where I live. A great pub with lovely view. It’s a shame we can’t have a bbq or a small bonfire in the evenings. There was no light/ fairy lights so I did get quite dark with one small lantern torch. Had a very fun night with my friends there 😊

Electric optional grass motorhome pitch (large)

Liked: The orchards are lovely. Pub grub reasonable

Disliked: Where do I start! The lack of signage at the pub meant we missed the entrance "wedding parking " plaque only. Once we managed to find the entrance no signage indicating where to go. In desperation I went into the pub which turned out to be the check in. Was given an inaccurate map of the facilities. One disgusting fresh water tap nowhere near the pitches and difficult to find. Debris, used vapes etc scattered around. Unable to find the toilet waste disposal. The toilets and shower facilities are probably the worst I've seen in years. Not clean, some lights not working. Washing up facilities outside so if it rained it's would not be the dishes that got wet. We decided that it was not worthwhile staying so left.

Electric optional grass motorhome pitch

Liked: Loved the pitch and the ambiance of the site which was very relaxed. Great having the pub with wonderful food and atmosphere. Site had toilets, showers, washing up facilities, water and electricity.

Disliked: The difficulty of filling the motorhome water tank due to the position of the taps, one was in accessible due to size of access, the second was at the top of the pub garden and customers where in the garden, including children so not ideal. The shower/toilet facilities are rustic and difficult to clean No waste water disposal point

Electric optional grass motorhome pitch

Liked: Pitch was lovely, with surrounding orchards, bell tents, poly tunnels etc. Toilets/showers acceptable and clean.

Disliked: Nice pub and service, but food and wine and beer disappointing. No water fill up point, or drainage obvious. Poor signage to find site-had to go in to pub first.
