Bodkin Farm is a rural couples' retreat on an adults-only site with little touches of luxury as well as a healthy dose of greenery and nature. On this family-run Leicestershire farm, guests can relax with views over woodland and the stream, and watch horses and other animals grazing peacefully in surrounding fields. There’s no electricity in your bell tent, but there’s plenty of solar lighting and options for charging your phone. And as this is all about thoughtful extra touches, your bed linen and towels are provided. The site has a fully kitted-out shower room and toilet, and a well-equipped barn kitchen and dining area. Campfires are very much allowed, and tents come with their own firepit so you can cosy up in the warmth. Complimentary essential oils are also part of the package, and to make your stay as relaxing as possible, the owners have added ear plugs and eye masks for light sleepers. A selection of books will make your stay as relaxing as possible. It’s a five-minute drive to Shepshed, where you can pick up foodie essentials in the convenience stores, dine on steak and chips in the local pubs, or pick up pizza, Chinese and Indian takeaways.
