  • Multi-award-winning adults-only leisure park with seven acres
  • Rural location on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds
  • Bar and restaurant on site, plus two well-stocked fishing lakes
Caistor Lakes Leisure Park is a multi-award-winning adults-only site set within seven scenic acres of leisure park. On the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, it's just the spot for some peace, quiet and relaxation. So, take your pick from the touring pitches which welcome caravans, motorhomes or campervans. The amenities on site include top-notch and sparklingly clean shower and toilet facilities (with separate male and female areas and full disabled access), wifi and access to freshwater fill-ups and wastewater and chemical disposal points. Fancy a spot of fishing? No problem. There are two well-stocked fishing lakes, the Heron and Foundry pools, which both have good stock of fish including carp, ide, tench, bream, crucian carp, barbel and roach. And there’s much to please away from the water, too – the surrounding countryside is packed with places to walk or cycle, and a drive of less than half an hour will get you to the coast for some sea air. Once all that's left you peckish, settle in for some downtime in The Ugly Duckling restaurant which is in a peaceful setting overlooking the lakes and gardens. It’s open throughout the week for everything from light bites to full meals and their ever-popular Sunday roasts. It has a pet-friendly area for all fur babies to have a rest.

Electric optional hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: The toilet and washing facilities were the best I’ve seen. Warm, clean, Dyson dryer, even piped music! The restaurant was good, having a superb lamb shank Easter Sunday lunch. Water, waste recycling etc was close by and well organised and especially loved watching the big fish in the pond at the front of the site. Plenty of parking too. Staff friendly and it’s nice to have the personal touch of someone coming to check all was ok just as we were setting up.

Disliked: The pitches were not massive and close together. We felt and it would be nice to have some foliage screening between pitches for privacy. Also as dog owners, on site walks were rather limited.

Liked: Very clean and tidy site , shower and toilet blocks top notch , male staff member upon our arrival was very polite and informative of both the site and surrounding areas , no idea if child friendly as did not see any during our stay

From the manager: Good afternoon, Thank you for your kind review and words. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Our wifi is a basic wifi network for people to use for messaging etc. It is not for down loading, live streaming etc. As we are rural we are limited as to what wifi strength we have and connections can be lost if there is bad weather. We hopefully will see you again in the future. Many thanks

Electric optional hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: Quiet, clean site. Pitches reasonable size, neat and tidy. Toilets and showers spotless. Had lunch at on site restaurant, good quality food. Unfortunately we could not get breakfast on our last day as it was Mothering Sunday and as we had not booked, we were politely turned away, which was quite embarrassing on our part.

From the manager: Good afternoon, Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. It does state in the welcome booklet that you receive on check in that we advise booking in advance. You should of also received and pre arrival email from us which also states that should you wish to eat in the restaurant at any time, to make a booking. It was Mother's Day on the day that you attempted to visit the restaurant and they were extremely busy. Hope this information helps and we look forward to seeing you again. Many thanks

Liked: We are new to the touring game and Caistor lakes is our 3rd outing, and we must say it was the best by far. I've not been fishing in 30 years but friends of ours were staying there at the same time and he fishes and talked me into it , and so glad he did as it further enhanced our stay. Staff were excellent and friendly, all the other guests were also very helpful and friendly. Facilities top notch Excellent restaurant and shower facilities.

Local attractions

Caistor Lakes Leisure Park's local town of Caistor is a market town on the edge of the Wolds with a history going back a couple of thousand years to Roman times. Main sights to see are the Georgian and Victorian architecture, the Scheduled Ancient Monument of the remaining fragments of Roman wall, and the market square with over 50 listed buildings. Fellow market town Market Rasen is 15 minutes' drive away and visited for its racecourse, more Georgian and Victorian architecture, and market days on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. If you're up for ambling, an easy four-mile circular walk starts and ends in Caistor via Nettleton, or you could hike the 25 miles of the Caistor Challenge, wander the Wolds free range, or tackle some of the 147 miles of the Viking Way passing through Caistor on its route from Humber Bridge to Oakham.
