  • Rural setting with horses, pigs, dog, cats and stunning views
Katrina and Steve fell a bit in love with Tan y Coed farm when they first saw it in the green surrounds of Shropshire countryside.... And this is where they've set up their glamping site Barnutopia: you might find yourself a little bit in love with these surrounds too. Barnutopia has luxury glamping for guests and well-behaved dogs, set in a small grassy field next to the main farmhouse and stable block, and surrounded by fields and grazing sheep. Dogs are welcome but please remember this is a working rural area with roaming sheep. Facilities are in a guest kitchen shack equipped with hot and cold water, a food prep area, kettle, toaster, microwave, gas boiling rings, pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils and a small seating area. The site also has a community room in the 19th-century stable block with sofas, a table and chairs. The Barnutopia amenities of large bathroom with toilet basin, power shower and towel rack are in the main house, which guests access through their own door and via a quarry-tiled boot room with coat rack and boot shelf. Barnutopia is geared towards self-catering glampers, but you can pay for breakfasts, packed lunches and evening meals after you arrive, or arrange for online delivery to the farm from Tesco, Asda, Iceland et al. Two pubs are in the local village of Llansilin in the Welsh county of Powys, including one said to dish up the best Sunday lunch for miles. And finally, Katrina and Steve have made it their mission to set Barnutopia up to provide everything you might need to stay in comfort; if any bits or bobs aren't there, just ask and they'll provide it wherever possible.
