Liked: An excellent location just outside Whitchurch, and easily found with the directions provided. The site is very well kept, and easy to maneuver around, and has a large open field and picturesque pond. The shower block is excellent, being warm, scrupulously clean and bright and airy. It also has a washing machine and dryer available at extra cost. We enjoyed walking along the canal which is situated just behind the site, and we also made use of the welcoming cafe. The staff and food were fabulous. Others have mentioned road noise, but we didn't find this an issue at all. We visited this location prior to our stay, when friends were camping there, and put it high on our must visit list.

Liked: Location, toilet block very warm and clean.
Disliked: Limited touring pitches as most are now seasonal. Poor condition of access to site. Looks a very tired site with one of the touring pitches very poor.

Liked: Well positioned for walking into Whitchurch. All the way on the towpath or part towpath part footpath. Takes about 30 mins. As stated previously, the toilets are spotless and warm. Pitches are large. Check in was easy. The Cafe onsite is very good value. Eat there twice for breakfast. There can be some road noise but it did not spoil our trip.

Liked: The showers and toilets were spotlessly clean. Level pitches. Close to Aldi, Starbucks, McDonalds. Nice location by the side of the canal.
Disliked: We were informed that reception was only open until 3pm. We rushed to get there before 3. No-one around! We rang the site number and left a message for someone to ring us back. No-one got back to us! We parked on a pitch- not sure if that was the one allocated! Poor customer service.

Liked: An idyllic site, well thought out, fabulous cafe, even a dog field for your furry friends to let off steam, our 2 dogs were more interested in sharing our breakfast rather than doing the agility course haha....we pitched up at the side of the fishing pool for New Year...absolutely gorgeous...everywhere is clean and the toilets and shower block is pristine. We will be back! Thanks Paul x

Liked: The toilets and showers were spotless as was the laundry/dishwashing room. Lovely view of the lake, open skies and the Llangollen Canal right on the doorstep. The folks in the cafe are very welcoming and it was great to be able to have a meal on site.

Liked: Toilets very clean
Disliked: Driveway to site full of unavoidable deep potholes causing internal damage to our van despite driving very slowly No contact from site owners whatsoever - no knowledge of which pitch to set up in, emergency contact number - no answer to call or reply to voice message and texts. Completely unmanned Had no choice but choose a pitch ourselves and hope for the best ! Felt like imposters ! Huge pools of water around the caravan and site as ground very uneven. Will not be returning or recommending, sorry.
