Electric grass tent pitch
Liked: We liked that the toilets were fairly close to the tent area, the pub had a nice play area in the back garden which the kids really enjoyed. The pub had nice food and the atmosphere was warm and friendly, the hosts were very friendly and made us feel welcome.
Disliked: When we first arrived, there was a very strong smell of manure which can't be helped as its in the country side! We had a feeling that the grass had be fairly recently treated with manure (we could be wrong!) but as it rained all night, the next morning wasn't the nicest as the pitch outside our tent entrance was very very muddy and nice a nice smell. I would recommend IF they do treat the grass with manure that they closed that area until its been treated.

From the manager: Hi there, thank you for all the nice comments that you have left us here at the new brooom. Sorry that your camping experience wasn't as pleasant due to the smell of manure from surrounding farmers fields & the poor weather coditions! I can assure you that we don't treat our camping fields with manure, unfortunately it's the time of year the local farmers are spreading, hopefully you will return when the weather is good & no lingering smells from the fields. Kind Regards The new broom team

Electric grass tent pitch
Liked: Nice little campsite behind the pub. Play area for the kids, pub food is lovely and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The Camping fields were very muddy after a day of rain and our car got stuck in the mud, but the staff helped to tow us out and then got us our dinner quickly which was kind as the kids were cold and hungry. They allowed us to have a campfire which was much needed. One of the electric hook up grass fields is not accessible by car but you can park right next to the field whilst unloading your car.
