If the kids have you well trained in holidaying near family-friendly attractions, you might want to pitch up at Pentney Park Caravan Site, near King's Lynn in Norfolk. For Pentney is close to family days out like BeWILDerwood and the Norfolk coast, as well as days out at Banham Zoo, Dinosaur Adventure theme park at Lenwade, Church Farm at Stow Bardolph, Snettisham Park at King's Lynn and the Hunstanton Sea Life Sanctuary on the coast... among a fair bit motre. Once everyone is puffed out with sightseeing round and about, on site at Pentney Park has quite a bit going on too, including an indoor pool, spa pool and sauna to unknot sore muscles, and a gym to pound if you just haven't had enough exercise. All are open all year (a small charge applies). The park covers 16 acres of level grass and mature woodland in Norfolk about 17 miles from Hunstanton. Its other well-looked after facilities include a table tennis table and a play area for the kids. There's also a shop very well stocked with all you could need – the staff can charge your phone if needed too. Plenty of top places to eat arr nearby in King's Lynn.

Local attractions

Pentney Park is in the heart of Norfolk and is a nifty base for exploring all aspects of the county, whether you fancy a bit of its coastal sands, towns and harbours, its historic houses, family days out or rambling around outdoors for a spot of fishing, cycling, horse-riding or golf. Want to walk? Yards away from the park, the Nar Valley Way runs for 34 miles from King's Lynn along to the Museum of Rural Life at Grassenhall, intersecting with the Wash Coast Path at King's Lynn and the Peddars Way at Castle Acre, which in turn meets up with the Norfolk Coast Path. Royalty and historic house fans should see Sandringham House, country home of her Maj Queen Liz, with museum, gardens, visitor centre and country park, and from there go on to Holkham Hall, on the coast road between Wells-next-the-Sea and Burnham Overy. For family days out, let the kids puzzle things out at decidedly original adventure park BeWILDerwood at Hoveton or see the inhabitants at Banham Zoo, home of over 2,000 beasties. The Dinosaur Adventure theme park at Lenwade is another roaringly good day out, and from here it's only about 25 minutes to the sightseeing and shopping of Norwich. If you want to drive a bit further, scholarly Cambridge is about an hour away.
