  • Secluded Mid Suffolk site set on a family-run community farmstead
  • A short drive from the Suffolk Coast and Cambridge city
  • Pizza oven, honesty shop, campfire circle and preordered hampers
Fasbourn Glamping is a family-run site on a small 15th-century farmstead in rural Mid Suffolk, set in 26 acres of pasture and gardens among peaceful countryside on the edge of the village of Buxhall. You're within easy reach of the market towns of Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds, Lavenham village, the historic university city of Cambridge and the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The accommodation and facilities are set in an enclosed one-acre field, and each of the Britain-made canvas bell tents are kitted out with a kingsize bed, rollout beds for kids, bedlinen, towels, woollen blankets, chairs, lights and a wood burning stove. You've also got a deck with a barbecue outside your tent, as well as a single gas burner for your morning cuppa (which you can accompany with the homemade biscuits you'll receive when you arrive). You've got your own private bathroom with a flushing toilet, a washbasin and a shower, as well as space to store your wash bags, just a couple of minutes' walk away from your tent. There's also a communal utility area with washing-up facilities, a washing machine and clothes line. The shared camp kitchen, set in the corner of the accommodation field, has a pizza oven, a gas camping stove and a table top stove, planters full of salads and herbs, storage boxes, seating, a fridge, a campfire circle and a water supply. All pans, utensils, crockery, cutlery and glasses are provided too. There's an honesty shop on site for all your essential provisions, and you can preorder a breakfast hamper filled with locally sourced bacon, sausages, apple juice, bread, tomatoes, mushrooms and fresh eggs, or a barbecue pack with locally reared Aberdeen Angus beef burgers and other bits.
