  • Single static on a working farm: have the site to yourself
  • Own enclosed parking and garden area
  • Views across the site garden and the Vale of York beyond
Cosy stays, fab views, warm welcomes and quiet private hols are all guaranteed at Helmsley's Beadlam Rigg: there's only one static caravan on the entire site, so no need to share the place with anyone else. And it's in the North York Moors National Park too – you'll most likely think this site is a win and then yet another win. The static has its own enclosed parking and garden area – really, you won't have to share any of your hol with anyone else – and is set adjacent to the farmyard with those fab views stretching south across the site garden and the Ryedale beyond. It's a modern, spacious and well-insulated caravan with central heating and double glazing that sleeps up to five. The shops and eating establishments of Helmsley are a short drive away, but if you fancy being organised, sort supermarket deliveries straight to your static: a good-sized fridge and freezer are inside for stashing all your eats.

The Retreat 2 bedroom static caravan

Liked: We liked the size and cleanliness of van. It is well appointed with plenty of supplies. It is well positioned so that view is maximised whilst privacy ensured. A very nice welcome and all on the farm are friendly and helpful.

From the manager: Thank you for your kind comments! They made me chuckle...My husband thought I was being ridiculously particular when we were siting the new van...but I'm so glad that my attention to detail has been noticed so early on in it's letting! I had to get it positioned right to make the most of the views through the trees and out towards the sunset!! I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for leaving the van so tidy. We hope to see you again in the future.

Local attractions

In the North York Moors National Park, half an hour from Dalby Forest, an hour from York and the Yorkshire coast at Scarborough and Whitby... this caravan is in a crackingly convenient location. North Yorkshire market towns like Pickering and Kirkbymoorside are also within easy driving distance. As it's the North York Moors, opportunities are all around to go walking, cycling or horse riding in the surrounds: Helmsley, Kirkmoorbyside and Pickering as well as Malton are in the Ryedale area of North Yorkshire, known for its dales, hills and moor, ancient heritage going back to the seventh century (looking at you, Rievaulx Abbey), walks along the Cleveland Way and the Wolds Way, and many traditional markets. Scarborough, Whitby, Filey, Bridlington and the rest of the Yorkshire coast can be reached about an hour from Beadlam Rigg. As well as the usual seaside shenanigans, take time to go birdwatching, fossil hunting, historic house hunting and on nights out in the area's pubs and restaurants.
