  • Wild hilltop meadow site in the Yorkshire Dales National Park
  • Within an hour's walk of Malham Cove, Janet’s Foss and Gordale Scar
  • Direct footpath access; local pub 15 minutes' walk
Located on a tiny organic farm overlooking Malham, this small family-run campsite is a place with all the peace and seclusion of private pitches while still being close to some of North Yorkshire's best visitor attractions. Set in a hilltop meadow, these pitches have stunning valley views, meaning guests here get a front-row seat for sunsets above Malham Cove and Gordale Scar. Located on the edge of Hanlith, a mile from either Kirkby Malham or Malham where there are cafés, pubs, restaurants and (in the latter) a visitor centre, this is an excellent spot for Dales explorers looking for adventure, relaxation or a mix of the above. Portaloos, a supply of fresh water and bins are available for your stay, but for most of the year the field is grazed by sheep – and they would really appreciate it if you left the field as you found it. During your stay, these woolly residents will be close by, so please make sure your dogs are under control at all times. Please note that most of the pitches are on a slight gradient. With the long-distance Pennine Way only 100 metres away, and there are lots of very accessible walks in the surrounding area – plus the mighty Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge if you're happy to drive slightly further afield.
