Our rural park nestles in the corner of the Holme Valley on the edge of the Peak District. Surrounded by 16 acres of woodland and meadows it is a perfect base for exploring the outdoors. Along with the spacious showers and toilets, our new amenities block offers a little more luxury with our family bathrooms available to hire for a short period or for the whole weekend. Our well stocked, licensed shop is open into the evening and we also have a laundry. There is a play area for children and of course plenty of space for them to jump on their bikes and explore or they are welcome to head to the woods for den building or play hide and seek. Dogs are very welcome and the surrounding woodland is ideal for walking, however we do strictly ask that they are kept on a lead on the park at all times. We have a wide range of pitches many with electric hook ups and on arrival we like to offer our guests a choice which may range from lakeside or riverside, amongst the trees or in one of the meadows. The River Holme runs around the park and many water birds can be spotted including herons, dippers and kingfishers. Fishing can be enjoyed on the park in both the river and the lake. We strive to keep our business as green as possible and take time to support our local wildlife and their habitats. Our efforts have been recognised and through the support of our guests we received our sixteenth consecutive David Bellamy Gold Award this year.

Route directions

The park is situated off the A6024 between Honley and Holmfirth. There is a small blue and white camping and caravanning road sign approximately 50 metres either side of the entrance to the park. From the south take exit 35a off the M1. Follow the A616 north, signposted first to Manchester, then Huddersfield until you reach New Mill. Head for Holmfirth where you will turn right at the traffic lights. Then after approximately 1 mile, look out for the Post Office on the right, the road enters woodland and our turn off is about 300 yards further on the right. From the north you will come through Huddersfield. Take the A616 Sheffield exit from the ring road, then turn left at the 3rd set of traffic lights signposted A616 Sheffield. Make sure you fork right on to the A6024 at Honley. The road enters woodland. Carry straight on past the sign for Oldfield on the right. The turn off for the park is a quarter of a mile further on the left.
