Disliked: Nothing about the pitch is superior. A mixture of grass, mud and gravel. It needs refurbishing.

Liked: Beautiful, clean and tidy site. Lots of wildlife.
Disliked: We arrived on Monday afternoon. No where to go for food on site. Due to the very wet weather did not want to drive off site to look for shops/ cafe.No shop for basic essentials. Shower and toilet facilities were tired. £12 pound charge per day for WiFi was unacceptable, considering we only used this site for an overnight stay.

Liked: The walk along the river was ideal with our dogs. Well appointed site, friendly staff and very useful wee shop and bakery. We spent a night here en route from Lands end home to the west of Scotland.
Disliked: We had multiple (missed) calls whilst we were travelling to ascertain our arrival time, the week before arrival, despite the fact we had put an ETA on our booking form. A more flexible check-in time would be less stressful - for instance like Tebay which we used on the way south. The charge for dogs was unusually large; some sites do not charge.

Liked: The park as a whole was lovely, great shower blocks which were large and very clean and well maintained. There is a great walk up to Lowther Castle which was great to walk the dog in the morning. Pub was great, lovely pint and great atmosphere. Bakery and shop sold great products and all the staff were lovely friendly and professional.
Disliked: Pitch was a bit muddy but the weather was a bit wet so not really the parks fault.

Liked: Quiet site , showers facilities were good standard , we didn’t go in the pub so can’t comment on it , didn’t really see any staff the, grounds are nice and back on to Lowther castle which is stunning. , so many nice walks .
Disliked: Touring pitches were to muddy and the awning was caped in bird muck when we left , i know it’s hard to avoid this but they could have put us on another pitch to save the ground . The shop what a complete rip off avoid £4 for a bottle of lemonade I mean talk about taking the Michael , I wont be returning to this site .
