Waterside House is beautifully situated Family run Campsite at the foot of Barton Fell and on the northern shores of Lake Ullswater.It is an ideal base for sailing, canoeing, mountain biking or just relaxing. The pretty village of Pooley Bridge is one mile away and can be easily reached by road or lakeside footpath.Here you will find local shops cafes and a three Inns serving excellent food and traditional ales .The market town of Penrith is a further six miles where there is a castle and park, cinema, swimming pool and many interesting shops and supermarkets

Route directions

From junction 40 of the M6 motorway take the A66 signed Keswick. After 1 mile turn left onto the A592 signed Ullswater and Pooley Bridge Turn left at the lake and go over the Bridge through the village. Take the first right at the next mini round about (Church on right) and right again at the crossroads. Travel along this road for approximately 1 mile. Waterside House is only campsite that is situated directly on the lake shore. There is a lakeshore footpath from Pooley Brdge Penrith is a West Coast main-line station
