Local attractions

It’s an easy walk into the Victorian seaside resort of Walton-on-the-Naze, where visitors will find a pier (one of the longest in the country), filled with amusements, a small maritime museum and a marina, as well as shops and restaurants and a bustling weekly market. There are plenty of opportunities for wildlife spotting in the area, either on foot in Walton-on-the-Naze’s nature reserves, or by boat, to see seals and sea birds. Sea fishing, horse riding and many other pursuits are available locally too. The seaside town of Clacton-on-Sea is an easy drive or bus ride away, or head inland for National Trust properties, great countryside and the many attractions of historic Colchester, which has been drawing crowds since Roman times.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Niets

Disliked: De plek bleek bij aankomst niet beschikbaar omdat men al een jaar geen touringcaravans meer accepteert. Omdat er geen alternatief beschikbaar was moesten we overnachten op de kampeerplaats van het plaatselijke wellness centrum

Disliked: The shop was running out of stock as it was the end of the season, but it always does each year.

Liked: EVERYTHING! Site was exactly what we were looking for and so close to the beach. Showers and toilets were spotlessly cleaned more than daily. Swimming pool, bar and restaurant AND entertainment. We are definitely going to stay again and for longer .
