Liked: Stayed for a few nights in motor home needing peace, quiet, and beautiful walks and scenery. I got exactly what I had hoped for. I stayed in mid-October which actually meant I was the only person staying - an added bonus!! Although wild camping the motor home area did have several clean water taps which were unexpected but appreciated.
Disliked: None that I can think of.

Liked: Tranquil valley within easy walking distance of pub. Drinking water taps available and bins/toilet disposal point but no other facilities - just what we were looking for. Grass pitches Flexible arrival & departure times
Disliked: Nothing but we had good weather, could be slippy if wet

Liked: The whole site was peaceful and quiet, plenty of wildlife and ample walks for the dog. It was an easy walk into the lovely village of West Meon. Used the Pub, the local butchers and the shop. Weather was great, unseasonably warm for October. You will probably need some form of levelling as the pitches are sloping. Ample water and black waste dump. Ideal location for walking and cycling as links direct to the Meon Way.

Liked: This is everything as described.... basic, an escape away from it all. If you're looking for washing up facilities, toilets, clean shower blocks with hot water then this is NOT the place for you. If on the other hand, you are looking for a place to stay, nestled in one of the many Meon valleys, surround with nature, some lovely walks, and peace & quiet, then you are coming to the right place. 20 pitches available, with plenty of space, 3 water taps to fill up from, and an elsan dispose unit. Buffy supplied us with an A4 sheet of local info, and some do's & don'ts during your stay, all to keep the tranquility of the area. A nice 5 mile round trip can be had to Meon Springs, around the farm fields to the top of Winchester Hill, before following the path down to the next farm, where you can get coffee & snacks while watching the wonder of "fly fishing" with the lines whipping gently through the air in an attempt to coax the trout up for a bit, and not a J.R Hartley in sight, young & old trying their luck, a great spot for those who prefer cycling, gravel bikes are recommended for this area, with the chalky Sussex flints. We were only here for 24 hours, but managed a couple of short walks. The Meon Valley Trail is right on your doorstep, you actually get onto the sight through one of the old railway tunnels. And the local village is just half a mile away, with a nice pub & well stocked country shop. The site field is on a little bit of a slop, but nothing serious, we have been on worse. All in all, a good place to escape the world, read a book, sit and ponder, or walk and talk in the countryside. You will get as much out as you want to put in. We were in a 4 birth Stargazer Autocruiser. There is no wi-fi. But we had a good 4G signal on Vodafone
Disliked: Our only dislike....we had to leave & go back to the real world again.
