  • Secluded site with excellent views, set over two scenic acres
  • Within four miles of Falmouth, the River Fal and sandy beaches
  • Take the nature walk down the site valley through the bluebell wood
Many folk who come to Cornwall seek a base for its north and south. And secluded is often an option too, given how popular the place is in the summer months. Add both those wants to splendid surroundings, a view over a grand valley, and the peace of the Cornish countryside… and you get Menallack Farm Caravan and Camping Site. The owners rightfully point out that this is a very pretty part of Cornwall – and the site's rightly pretty too, set over two scenic acres with a nature walk down its valley, through Bluebell Wood and to a stream at the valley's bottom. Firepits are available near the pitching field and in the woods. There are also showers, toilets and a washing-up area. It's only two and a half miles from here to both Trebah Gardens and Glendurgan Gardens, three miles from the nearest beach, and within easy day trip distance of most towns, resorts and attractions on the north and south Cornish coasts. A farm shop two miles away from Menallack Farm stocks a good range of local fruit and veg, free-range meat and poultry, bread, Cornish milk, butter and cream, homemade pasties, pies, cakes and quite a bit more. Beyond that, Falmouth is four miles away for supermarkets and the like.

Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Easy check-in. Owner there on arrival, told us everything we needed to know and left us to it. Quiet and relaxed. Very much enjoyed a night away sitting by firepit cooking and drinking wine under the stars 😁

Disliked: Nothing 😁

Electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked: Quiet, fairly convenient for an overnight stop in our motorhome, hot water in the showers and loo rolls in the toilets

Disliked: Not a lot at the site and facilities were a bit tired. Grass pitch was sloped and challenging in October due to wet weather.

Electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Level pitches, nicely terraced. Kitchen block was very well equipped; fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, plenty of hot water. Two excellent family bathrooms in the same block. Main toilet block more basic, but well appointed. Lovely view down the valley as the mist rose in the evening.

Electric grass touring caravan pitch

Liked: View from the pitch once the low cloud had lifted.

Disliked: Useless location instructions. Poor signage, easily missed even if you were on the correct road!! Access off the public road via a deeply pot-holed way guaranteed to wreck your car/caravan suspension if you're not careful. Dirty, neglected, untidy sanitary facilities. Pitch designations were either obscured or non- existant. Site fee (£25 per night) too expensive for the quality of the facilities offered. £10 extra to pitch an awning - I didn't bother; the awning area was a quagmire. We were there for 5 nights and at no time did anyone come and ask if we were satisfied with our pitch or if we had any problems. Definitely one to miss!

Electric grass touring caravan pitch

Liked: Location

Disliked: Pot holes on main road coming in. Everything felt run down, not as clean and tidy as rated on previous reviews. Walk to the woods dangerous. No grey water, plots numbers missing. Felt like it was long forgotten.

Liked: Owners could not be more helpful. Through no fault of theirs I got into a pickle - and they got me out of it, kindly and calmly. Planning to return. Oh, and what a beautiful view!

Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Beautiful site. Excellent toilet/shower (in wooden shack). Best shower we’ve had at a campsite! We booked last minute and arrived late, the owners were fantastic when we rang them and gave us all the info we needed. Wish we had been able to stay longer!
