Small quiet, friendly, sheltered, level camp site situated in the countryside with magnificent views of adjacent rolling hills. Situated equidistant from the beautiful beaches of Carbis Bay and St Ives, approximately 2 miles away. Facilities include toilets, showers (coin operated), dishwashing sink, chemical disposal point, electric hook ups and a room available for ironing, shaving and hair drying, a small selection of provisions are available from reception.

Route directions

Follow A30 past Redruth and Camborne; follow signs for St. Ives. At large round-about take A3074 sign-posted St. Ives, then at 2nd mini-roundabout take 1st left sign-posted ‘Tate St. Ives (B3311)’. Continue for approx 3 miles, turn right 100 yards after the‘ Balnoon Lodge’ and you will find Balnoon Camp Site.

St Ives is but 2 miles distant which is accessible by road or by a beautiful walk through the countryside. Penzance is 6 miles away where day trips to The Isles of Scilly can be taken by helicopter, aeroplane and sea. Off-shore at Penzance is the famous St Michael’s Mount. At nearby Newlyn is the fish market. Lands End is 10 miles along the picturesque North coast road, where visits can be made to Zennor, famous for its Mermaid, and Geevor Tin Mine Museum and Levant steam Engine. Located at St Ives is the Tate of the West Art Gallery, whilst the contemporary Newlyn Art Gallery and the Penzance Museum and Art Gallery, which houses the largest collection of Newlyn School paintings, are but a few minutes by car. The award winning Eden project, as seen on Television near St. Austell is well worth a visit.
