A peaceful uncommercialised farm site, with grass under foot and stars overhead, surrounded by the beautiful Devon countryside with breathtaking views across the fields to the sea. This family run site makes a perfect holiday base being close to Dartmouth and many lovely beaches. The site prides itself on giving each camper a roomy, level pitch, with even more space for ball games etc. The site consists of two level fields totalling 10 acres. There is plenty of room to pitch your tent and space for the children to play. Camping Facilities We have all the basic facilities: 10 toilets, 4 showers and washing up sinks with hot water, all kept to a high standard of cleanliness. There is a freezer for ice blocks and a coin operated launderette available in Kingsbridge or Dartmouth. Ten of the pitches provide electric hook-ups for caravans or tents. Over the years we have made several friends who come back annually. There is a large field available for Christian tent meetings or rallies during June. (Note :- be sure to bring a torch). Dogs are welcome. Please keep them on a lead, There is a dog walk area in front of the fence adjoining the Bungalow in the large field.

Local attractions

Slapton Sands is between Dartmouth and Salcombe with its beautiful coastline which has not yet been spoiled by commercialism There are numerous natural coves with rock pools where the children can play, fish or build sand castles. Walkers can enjoy the many coastal paths with its wild scenery and flowers or stroll along wooded valleys. If you want to relax in the sun there are many peaceful beaches and coves away from the crowds. Those who want a little more excitement can travel to Paignton on the Dart Valley Steam Railway or go up to Totnes on one of the river boats, Many visitors go to see the Eden Project in Cornwall. The Children can spend a day at Woodlands Leisure Park where there are some great attractions, water chutes, assault courses, farm animals, bumper boats, and the "The mighty-twister" water ride. A great day out for all the family. During the last war this area was used to rehearse the D-Day landings. Newlands field was used as a landing strip by the American marines who took over the whole area including the villages and beaches because of their similarity to the Normandy coast. Now peace and tranquillity have returned to our villages and the only reminder of those times is a Sherman Tank in the car park at Torcross.
