  • Luxury glamping in the Yealm valley and South Hams countryside
  • A 25-minute drive from Plymouth and 15 minutes from beaches
  • Private hot tub and cinema at each unit; overlooking hills and streams
Now this is some serious glamping… and with some seriously swish facilities too. With over 30 years of experience, Sunridge Retreats is set up for luxury stays in the South Hams countryside, just 25 minutes’ drive away from Plymouth. Accommodation first: scroll down to see pics of what's on offer at this spectacular Devon site… each unit has a whole stack of smart facilities and its very own private hot tub and cinema for cosy nights in. Outside is just as fab… Venture outside to peruse your setting, among four acres of peaceful greenery with plenty of space and trees, colourful gardens, and scenes of the hills and streams of the Yealm Valley in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's all within minutes' drive of stunning beaches, seaside hikes and weeks' worth of hiking. There's lots and lots to get your teeth into around the South Hams and Devon... including several fab beaches just minutes away that are often deserted: have a wander along Mothecombe beach, 15 minutes’ drive away, and in a village used as a location for an adaptation of Sense and Sensibility (as was nearby Georgian Saltram House). Take to your feet for the miles of country trails around Sunridge Retreats, where you can take your pick from paths along the River Erme as well as high-up hikes of the South West Coast Path. Around the local villages are snapworthy scenes of 18th- and 19th-century architecture, dozens of antique shops and many old pubs serving traditional local ale… Have a look – and eat – too at Kingsbridge, Modbury, Newton Ferrers, Noss Mayo and Yealmpton, all with award-winning pubs and restaurants with sea and river views.

Route directions

Please use the following directions to keep things peaceful for neighbours in the hamlet. On the A379 towards Yealmpton, take the exit at Dunstone Cross (one mile from town) and proceed for one mile. Use the postcode PL8 2LN for Satnav. Worston Farm is postcode-central. Don't disturb 'The Brooks' residents, a gated property. If it's on your right, proceed; if it's on your left, you've overshot. Look for Sunridge Retreats signs. Identify a house like a bungalow. Spot a narrow track next to it with a 'Sunridge Retreats' sign. Follow it for 50 metres, and turn left at the iron gate with the same sign.
