  • Family holiday park with indoor and outdoor pools plus a fishing lake
  • A five-minute drive to Burnham-on-Sea and 20 to Weston-super-Mare
  • Sauna, Jacuzzi, restaurant, live entertainment, shop and play area
Run by a family for families, Home Farm Holiday Park really does have everything your travel crew needs for a satisfying stint in Somerset… including both indoor and outdoor swimming pools (open in the warmer months), with the latter having a mini water factory and a toddler splash zone. (At both pools you'll need to book slots in advance to make sure they're never overcrowded.) Parents can sprawl out on a free sun lounger while the kids swim at this site five minutes' drive from Burnham-on-Sea… or find a babysitter and make their way towards the well-stocked fishing lake to reel in common carp, bream and pike (with an environmental rod licence plus a Home Farm Fishing Permit). A fully equipped gym’s also here for the adults, along with a sauna, Jacuzzi and steam room for an extra fee. Got the pup with you as well? A special dog-walking area is on site to make sure they're all tuckered out before the drive home Activities the clan can take part in together include live entertainment during the evenings at the Nite Owl complex, which has two amusement arcades, family-friendly restaurant and kids’ bar. If the big game’s on, catch it on the live BT Sports showings (footie fans might also appreciate that a football pitch is on site as well…), or stream it on the wifi while getting into the Somerset spirit by sipping on ciders. Just make sure to line the stomach beforehand with options from the takeaway menu or concoct your own meals using ingredients from the on-site supermarket. It’ll be easy to get home speedily after stays here, as the park’s close to Junction 22 of the M5 motorway.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch (pet friendly)

Liked: The swimming pool and location and staff was friendly.

Disliked: There was multiple thing we disliked, the weather wasn’t the best and understood there will some issues with flooding but this was extremely bad due to poor drainage, to have a sign up saying the weather isn’t there problem and is down to our own risk just says it’s a massive problem. The only way to walk the dogs was a bog and the mess your dog got in and brought it back to the caravan I’ve had to pay to get my carpet specially cleaned because of how bad the ground was. It’s not dog friendly other then the dog walk. The water taps was dodgy at best and lost lots of water due to it going everywhere so had to purchase a special hoes for it. Got told the one toilet was out of order so the other toilet was some distance away. There was work going on near where we was but luckily wasn’t noisy but made the ground very muddy. The grass area was turn up and very muddy to. It’s a shame because this place has so much potential but feel they should of told us what was going on at this time or just closed until the work was done. I believe if I came at another time I’d of enjoyed it and can see there putting a lot of time and effort in. I definitely wouldn’t say not to go because I think it be great in the summer but if you go winter just prepare yourself to get filthy and I’ve got a 9 month who has just started to crawl so not being able to let her crawl because how muddy my carpets got was disappointing.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch (no pets)

Liked: Clubhouse

Disliked: Pitch was tarmac and grass which I didn’t book. Due to very wet conditions it turned into a bit of a bog! Decent pool and basic gym but the clubhouse makes up for this. There was building work going on with large tipper LGVs and diggers on the access road through the site which we weren’t told about.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch (no pets, super)

Liked: We stayed on a super pitch and they are fab, water taps, waste, and Wi-Fi at the pitch, we would always have a super pitch now when we stay here!

Disliked: Lots of work being done more super pitches being made I believe which will be amazing, but when there workers were working using diggers etc the whole ground was shaking even say in our caravan it was just shaking, they could of maybe held off for 2 weeks and started the work once the park closes for the season!

Local attractions

This park’s close to Somerset attractions including Britain’s shortest pier at Burnham-on-Sea, about a five-minute drive away. If you’re up for a longer stroll, this coastal town also has a 2.5-mile promenade to wander on with shops and restaurants lining the front. For a bigger pier, head to Weston-super-Mare's seafront jetty a 20-minute drive up the coast and check out the old buildings of this Victorian-era resort while you’re there. For more browsing after dipping in and out of the town's antique shops, the discount outlets of Clarks Village are about half an hour away from Home Farm in the car. Splurging got you feeling peckish? Inland, and about a 20-minute drive from the site, is the tourist town of Cheddar for stocking up on the famed cheese and then taking it along to the scenic gorge nearby for a picnic...
