Welcome to Belmullet Coast Guard Station Pods - this site is in a stunning location on Claggan Island in north County Mayo. The top corner of Ireland, this beautiful location has sea cliffs that plunge in to crashing waves and headlands jutting out to the Atlantic all while sitting beside white sandy beaches: it is is definitely a place of extremes. The views across the bay towards Belmullet are stunning as are the magnificent sunrises. The pods are set in the heart of a working farm and animals can be seen during the summer months grazing in the fields around the station. Our kitchen area and showers are located in a converted barn only 70m from the pods. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, gas hob, fridge with ice box, toaster, electric kettle and a solid fuel stove for extra comfort. Both showers are based on an ensuite design, they are spacious, bright with powerful pumped showers and a shaving point in the men's unit. There is also a washing machine and drier available for a small extra charge.
