Rusty and Christine would like to welcome you to Garlieston Lodge . The Lodge was originally built in the 1800's as a Gate Lodge for Galloway House, the seat of the Earl of Galloway and sits in its own five acres of woodland with a small river running through it feeding our fishing lake. In the woods we have a breeding herd of Britain’s only all-black pedigree Large Black pigs, and on the rest of the small holding we have free range hens, geese and ducks. Wild deer can often be seen in the morning drinking from the lake. In 2009 the site was awarded theCamping and Caravanning Club best Certificate for the whole of the UK. Garlieston and the surrounding area is steeped in history and the harbour is the birth place of the famous floating Mulberry Harbours. Garlieston is the ideal place to spend a holiday or weekend break.
