Liked: Lovely quiet site. New toilet block being built which looks like it will be amazing. Temporary block absolutely fine, clean and tidy.

Disliked: Didn’t appear to be much hot water in temporary washing up facilities.

Liked: Site owner was very helpful & friendly. Pitches are a good size. Great amenities laid out very well & soon to be even better, looked like a new reception/ facilities building under construction. Good location near the river, unfortunately it rained so wasn’t able to take a walk alongside it. If a family there’s a playground nearby too.

Disliked: Alternative entrance for vehicles over 2.9m is a bit tricky to find & difficult to pass on. Met another motorhome & had to reverse quite a distance on a narrow bendy road to a passing point. Could do with more passing points. The online system needs to update faster. On arrival our booking hadn’t been updated fortunately the owner was very accommodating & found us a pitch.

Liked: The site was very relaxing and clean . We did like the fact that this is a community based project . Although there was work being done while we were there it did not affect our stay and believe when the new toilet shower block is completed it will be a great place to return too

Liked: During our NC500 adventure, we stumbled upon this gem of a site and couldn't have been more pleased -we stayed for 2 nights in a tent. From the warm welcome to the thoughtful suggestions for our tent spot, the hospitality was great. The temporary shower blocks were surprisingly clean and spacious. Our kids had a blast at the play park, while the communal BBQ spot added a nice touch. The tidiness of the bins reflected the overall attention to detail on site. While we did encounter a minor inconvenience with the lack of hot water for washing dishes, we were informed that a new shower/sink washing area is currently under construction, which speaks to the dedication to continuously improve the facilities. With a charming town nearby boasting a fantastic fish shop and other amenities, this site offers the perfect balance of tranquility and convenience. We'd gladly return and highly recommend it to fellow travellers. A truly lovely stop along the NC500 route!

Liked: Chap very helpful and informative. Facilities fab even though temporary while new block being constructed which by the way, looked as though it is going to be top notch.

Liked: Site was a really nice site at the side of the river

Disliked: Toilets block was not finished there was only 2 portable cabin blocks there was no pot washing facilities and we where traveling with are disabled daughter it was hard to shower her due to no disabled access room

Liked: The locationis handy with amenities close by, excellent walkig area for the dogs. the setup of the campsite is good, the future shower block etc. looks amazing. Very friendly staff, very helpful and supportive. The pitches are well organized and most other campsite users are a delight. Your arrive with a friendly welcome, get a handy map with all information you can need. You are surrounded by loads of birds both at the river and in the woodlands around you.

Disliked: Nothing really, the tent area is a bit on the small side comapred to caravans, this is rather an observation.

I'm unsure what the comment about no hot water specifically relates to, but there was a temporary issue with the women's showers on Sunday afternoon that was fixed after it was reported to the campsite warden. We've not been advised of any other issue with the facilities so I can only assume this is what your comment related to.
