  • Small family-run site for tents, trailer tents and campervans
  • A five-min drive from Brecon with splendid views of the Brecon Beacons
  • Barbecues and campfires allowed; nearest pub a mile away
Got a tent, trailer tent or campervan and want to amble around one of Wales’ finest national parks for a couple of days? Come on over to Cefn Cantref Campsite for a stay at a small family-run site with scenic views of the Brecon Beacons from your excellent basking spot in the green grounds… If the vistas get you geared up for going off on outdoor explores, you’ll be well placed at this site: it’s in the Brecon Beacons National Park and conveniently set for tackling the Three Peaks. Hiking, mountain biking and fishing are all close by, along with caving, climbing, canoeing and sailing via the activity centres in Brecon five minutes’ drive (or 30 to 40 minutes' walk away). If thoughts of such exertion make you shudder ever so slightly, distract yourself by concentrating on food instead… the site’s got a tuck shop and Brecon has three good supermarkets for stocking up at for alfresco feasts. The Bank, a modern, dog-friendly gastropub, is in town if you’re wanting a meal out and a touch closer by is a pub (within a mile) as well as both a restaurant and takeaway (including an excellent Indian and Thai) within a couple of miles. Cefn Cantref has ladies’ and gents’ showers and toilets; a washing-up area, disabled facilities and a parent and baby washroom. Recycling and charging facilities are also available for guests as well as a 4G area – so there’s no need to do an unplanned digital detox while you’re away... Motorhomes and caravans are not permitted at the site.
