  • A small quiet park on the outskirts of Pwllheli
  • Surrounded by woodlands in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
  • Big play area for children
Welcome to Hendre Caravan Park. It is a small family-run caravan and touring park spaced over ten acres. The park is a peaceful and private haven for visitors surrounded by mature woodland and countryside. Hendre Caravan Park is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, surrounded by mature woodlands at the heart of the Llŷn Peninsula, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in North West Wales. Yet the park is less than three miles from Pwllheli, the unofficial capital town of the peninsula, with it's small individual shops and cafes, supermarkets, sandy beaches and award winning marina. Abersoch and Nefyn are both within a short drive. Good basic amenities are provided including a modern shower and toilet block, laundry and dish-washing facilities. Kids will enjoy our play area and half-size football pitch. Pets are welcome. The park has a private woodland walk and a large field for dogs to have 'off lead' fun.

Route directions

From Pwllheli town centre head west on the A497 towards Abersoch/Nefyn. After about a half mile take the second exit at the roundabout signposted Nefyn. In the next village, Efailnewydd, turn left onto the B4415 towards Aberdaron. You will see the sign for Hendre on the left about 500 metres down this road. To avoid your satnav taking you down country lanes unnecessarily plug in 'via Pwllheli'.

Local attractions

The local Pwllheli Rugby Club is a short walk and welcomes park visitors to their bar and beer garden. The local pub the Twnti is only one and a half miles for real ale and great food. The location is ideal to explore the Llŷn Peninsula. With miles of sandy beaches, beautiful countryside, a wide range of attractions and interesting historical sites there is plenty to do once you get here. The market town of Pwllheli is only two miles down the road providing plenty of shops, restaurants and services. For keen gardeners a visit to Plas Rhiw is recommended: it is a hidden gem in the National Trust's garden collection. Plas Gly Y Weddw is an exceptional art gallery with a cafe that makes great home cooked lunches. For the kids a great day out can be spent at Glasfryn Parc enjoying bowling, go-carting, archery and more. The staff at Hendre Caravan Park would be happy to help give directions and recommendations.
