Cwm Tawel site is based in a secluded farm valley. We have not overdeveloped the site for camping use in order to leave a rustic feeling with grass paths and wooded areas; in places the terrain is uneven so please make sure all members of your party are aware of this and wear suitable footwear. We offer glamping style yurt holidays for weekend and midweek breaks. We have an undercover firepit and cob pizza oven in our round house. We have wood burning hot tub State of the art compost toilets and hot showers are also available to all our guests. For cooking meals, there is also a fully-furnished indoor kitchen and a wood-burning Rayburn - or you can build your own outside campfire.

Route directions

Cwm Tawel Yurts/The Quiet Valley is situated off Junction 36 of the M4 in South Wales. Please follow these directions - Satnav will take you to an alternative route through very narrow single track lanes. Leave M4 at junction 36 Follow signs to Maesteg A4063 or Llynfi Valley. Continue on A4063 for 5 miles towards Maesteg/Llynfi Valley Enter Llangynywd Village Pass shops and post office – you will see our first brown signpost. Just after the shops take a right turn into Station Road. Continue down the hill passing the Railway Pub, and cross a small bridge. Continue along road for 1.5 miles. Pass a red telephone box, and a row of terraces houses. Continue for 600 yards until you reach a left turning with a grass island – turn left. After 100 yards, turn left into the farm driveway with cattle grid. Continue along the driveway until you will find us just on the right.
