It’s not for nothing that this park is called Blossom… it’s set in a pear and plum orchard and each pitch is outlined with pear trees. And there's a pick your own fruit farm practically on the doorstep: just superb all round. Blossom Touring Park Motorhome & Camp Site in Monmouthshire has been called a little gem by former guests for its friendly welcome from owner James, its peaceful location and the views towards the famed Sugar Loaf Mountain and its surrounding hills. The sunsets here are blooming special too... Amenities include wifi at day rates (guests also get half an hour of wifi free). Please note there are no toilet or shower facilities available at this site. Blossom Touring Park Motorhome & Camp Site is about a mile and a half from the market town of Abergavenny for pubs, restaurants and supermarkets. Two Sustrans cycle routes, 42 and 46, pass within a couple of hundred yards of the park.

Local attractions

Abergavenny is an ace little town, with heaps happening all year round. It’s also known as the gateway to Wales for its access to the Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons National Park and Offa's Dyke Path. The Beacons Way, the Usk Valley Walk and the Marches Way all pass through here too. There are events and festivals of all flavours in Abergavenny: the Abergavenny Food Festival in September; its carnival and festival in summer; twice-yearly fair dating back centuries, and markets most days at the Market Hall including flea and farmers’ … or get dramatic at any time of year seeing plays and comedy at the Abergavenny Borough Theatre. Canny shopper? Poke around the car boot sale every Sunday a mile from Blossom. At the nearby Brecon Beacons National Park, start off for info and buns at the National Park Visitor Centre for tips on what to do, or have a starting sightsee on the Brecon Mountain Railway. The national park and the area around it, including the area around Blossom, are a hit with stargazers who come for the clear skies: it’s possible to see the Milky Way from the Brecon Beacons National Park. Heritage and history geeks will find plenty to gaze upon in Monmouthshire too: the Big Pit National Coal Museum and underground tour at Blaenavon; 11th-century Brecon Cathedral, fab Raglan Castle for sightseeing and events, and museums including the Nelson collections at Monmouth Museum and the World War II air raid shelter at Abergavenny Museum. The cathedral city of Newport is about half an hour’s drive away: there’s another castle here, several churches and a big museum and art gallery.
