  • Immaculately maintained, south facing and peaceful family-run park
  • Spectacular setting a third of a mile from Wiseman’s Bridge beach
  • On-site owners, lawned setting and safe secure environment
Pinewood is at Wiseman’s Bridge, midway between the pretty coastal villages of Saundersfoot and Amroth, in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. It's a peaceful park with modern on-site accommodation on the no-through lane of Cliff Road, yet only a third of a mile from the beach, pub and shop at Wiseman’s Bridge, and with the famed Pembrokeshire Coast Path running straight past the drive. Amroth and Saundersfoot are both within easy walking or cycling distance and Tenby and Narbeth are five and six miles from the park. Caravans are in a mostly lawned setting, on a largely enclosed park that's very safe for kids, with no direct access to any busy roads. The park is family run and highly maintained by owners Nicky and Simon, whose mission is for guests to want to return time and time again. All caravans are kitted out to swish standards, with heating in the bedrooms, shower and lounge, instant hot water, fully-fitted kitchens and a flatscreen TV/DVD player in the lounge, and all are regularly cleaned. There’s a paved path to each caravan and they all come with their own patio area with garden furniture. Gas and electric are included in the tariff. Please note that park cannot accept pets.

Route directions

Pass through the hamlet of Summerhill and after half a mile, look for a 'beware of cyclists', a 30mph and a left turn sign in the hedge on the left. Make a very sharp turn left into Cliff Road. Pinewood is 20 metres along Cliff Road on the right.

Local attractions

Wangle some time at Wiseman’s Bridge beach first for rockpooling or landing some sea bass, mackerel and flounder fishing directly from the beach; you can also try some deep water angling from boats at nearby Saundersfoot and Tenby. Both Saundersfoot and Amroth beaches are within an easy walk of Wiseman’s along the coastal footpath. The one-mile stretch of Amroth beach 15 minutes away is well known for its archaeological finds; keep an eye out for the prehistoric trees sticking up from the sand at low tide. Saundersfoot is 25 minutes away in the other direction with its sandy beach, harbour for boat trips and several shops and cafés. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path is within easy access for serious striders; this 186-mile stretch passes 58 beaches as well as cliffs, coves, valleys and headlands and joins the Ceredigion Coast Path to the north. Determined trekkers can also join the new Wales Coast Path from Amroth, which covers 870 miles from Chepstow to Queensferry; those who’d rather sit down while they sightsee have accessible cycle and off-road trails along both routes. If that sounds like a bit too much effort, there are plenty of Pembrokeshire sights and attractions within easy driving distance for day trips: the kids can drop the wise act and act foolish at Folly Farm or fossilised at The Dinosaur Park, both within 15 minutes’ drive, as are the Oakwood Theme Park, the Manor House Wildlife Park and the Blue Lagoon Water Park.
