Off to Alsace? Have a Bas-Rhin stay among spectacular scenery and a walkers' paradise at Camping L'Oasis, set within the Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park. Hiking (and mountain biking) trails are all around the site, and for more Alsace outdoor days, fishing, climbing, horse riding and shooting are all available within 10 kilometres. L'Oasis is a family-friendly and group-friendly site, just outside the village of Oberbronn about an hour and 15 minutes' drive from Strasbourg. A wellness centre with pool, hot tub, sauna and fitness room is open on summer afternoons; also in high season, the site runs a morning bread service, grocery shop, ice cream stall, a restaurant and a bar. Other facilities include an outdoor pool, playground, tennis court, games room, volleyball court and pétanque court. The site also has three toilet blocks with hot showers, and a launderette with washing machine and tumble dryer. Dogs are welcome.

Local attractions

Take off into the surrounding Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park for scenic hiking and mountain biking, or get out climbing, horse riding or fishing within 10 kilometres of the site. Local commune Oberbronn has a signposted circular walk throughout the village past its historical sites, and an observation tower on the nearby Wasenkoepfel with views of the Upper Rhine Plain. The pretty and popular spa town of Niederbronn-les-Bains is three kilometres away, home to springs used for over 2,000 years. The town also has a war cemetery, commemorating Niederbronn-les-Bains's strategic importance in World War II as a settlement close to the border with Germany. Other options are the ruins of Wasenbourg Castle (five kilometres), and the Maginot Line, the Citadel of Bitche and the Lalique Museum at Wingen-sur-Moder, all 25 kilometres away.
