This Morbihan site is splendidly set for those who like their megalithic stones and/or their golden sands: world-famed and ancient Carnac is four kilometres away, La Trinité-sur-Mer opposite, coves within a short stroll, and sandy beaches within a couple of kilometres. Camping Les Palmiers is a family-friendly and relaxed site on the banks of the Crac'h river, set over an area of three hectares. It has facilities for all ages, including a big waterpark with heated pool, waterslides and a small whirlpool bath; a playground, and a games room with table football, billiards and ping pong. Among the amenities are a laundry available at reception (charges apply) and showers, toilets and washbasins, all accessible to guests with reduced mobility. A bar and a snack bar serving pizzas and takeaways are open in July and August.

Local attractions

The site's setting on the banks of the Crac'h and opposite La Trinité-sur-Mer is well placed to explore the Morbihan region, including the coast, Breton villages and the Gulf of Morbihan. Carnac four kilometres away is one of the most famed megalithic structures in Europe for its 3,000 ancient stones, the biggest collection in the world. In town, the Carnac-Ville area has the Museum of Prehistory, and Carnac-Plage is a family seaside resort with a thalassotherapy centre for those who seek pampering. Seaside town La Trinité-sur-Mer, opposite the site, is a popular family option for Brittany seaside hols, with its handsome port and several beaches. You could also investigate the many other ancient stones besides Carnac on the Gulf of Morbihan, via many more spectacular beaches, or sail between the gulf's 40 or so islands including Ile–aux-Moines. Coves are within 650 and 800 metres and sandy beaches are two kilometres away.
