This delightful campsite set is in the countryside of Gascony in Southwest France. Located just on the edge of the ancient fortified town of Marciac, the campsite is about 60 miles from Toulouse and the Atlantic coast and approximately one hour drive to the Pyrénées. The campsite offers camping pitches with electric hook-ups and easy access. There are water points, discrete lighting, a chemical toilet disposal point and a waste point for campervans. Cyclists and walkers can benefit from several picnic tables and a communal room for shelter. WiFi access is available on all of the site.

Local attractions

For walkers, cyclists and lovers of nature the site is ideally placed, being on the pilgrims route to Santiago de Compostela and with access to a range of footpaths and tracks. Just 300 metres away is a superb lake, with a pleasant lakeside trail. There is also a swimming pool complex plus fishing as well as a restaurant and bar. A guided walk for Marciac is available which allows you to discover some of the hidden treasures and a little of the local history. Marciac is in Gascony - the home of Armagnac and excellent wines, as well as the aperitif Floc. Famous also for its foie gras, the regions restaurants will delight your taste buds with traditional duck recipes. The team at Camping du Lac Marciac developed a good knowledge of the local area and its specialities and are happy to share information and tips with you, as well as providing a welcoming service and quality facilities to make your holiday a pleasure.
