Are you an angling aficionado? Take your tackle to in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais, for quite a few fishing ponds are within an easy ten kilometres of here. More of a forest fan? The site is near Hesdin Forest, the massif 7 Valleys woodland filled with days' worth of walking, cycling and wildlife watching. is well set up if you're on hol as a family too, with activities like card games, themed meals, karaoke night, bingo and televised football matches organised regularly by the team, and pool and table football available in the bar. A playground is also on site. Did we mention a bar? It's a restaurant too, open from Friday evening to Sunday evening for eats and drinks. A baker arrives on site every weekend and every day during school holidays, and a pizza merchant comes by every Sunday in July and August. Facilities at include an amenities block with loos and showers. Wifi is available for a small extra charge. The team also would also like to point out that very little Anglais is spoken on site, but we emphatically state this is also a highlight for French vacances avec la famille: just think how delighted les enfants will be when told how much they can practise their Français.

Local attractions

Hesdin Forest and the area surrounding it are part of the Pas de Calais 7 Valleys region, a place filled with rivers, hills and forests as well as the eponymous valleys. More fishing can be tackled here, along with otter spotting, river walks and finding many a French delicacy among the farms and villages. Go bowling, sort supermarket supplies or visit the waterpark in the town of Hesdin six kilometres from the site, an old settlement with a weekly market, Renaissance square and tourist office. The Canche river runs through here too, so snap a pic of it from one of the town's several cobbled bridges. History and Henry fans should trot off for a day trip to the Centre Historique Medieval - Azincourt, commemorating the Battle of Azincourt where one K Branagh, sorry Henry 5, rode once more unto the breach, for Harry, England and Saint George.
