What a top-notch location is this. For not only is Piomboni Camping Village totally surrounded by a maritime pine forest, it's also only a short stroll from a white sandy beach – and an easy amble to a dog-friendly one where you can release the hounds. And! Cultural connoisseurs are sorted too, for the site is handily placed a mere eight kilometres from the Byzantine treasures and medieval past of the spectacular old city of Ravenna. Plenty of services and facilities are sorted on site, such as a bar-restaurant with takeaway, a mini market, ping pong tables, a playground, a pétanque court, bike hire and a shop selling daily essentials. The park also has a motorhome service point, laundry room, washing-up areas and free hot showers in modern facilities blocks also suitable for disabled guests. Activities and entertainment such as live music, theme evenings, kids' club and archery is organised by the team from mid-June to the end of August. A wifi connection is available on site near reception and the restaurant.

Liked: Wir (Familie mit drei Kindern (5, 8, 10, 43, 44) waren im August 2022 hier zu Gast und waren total begeistert! Die Stellplätze haben eine schöne Größe. Dadurch, dass der Campingplatz in einem Pinienwäldchen liegt, haben die meisten Plätze ausreichend Schatten. Wissen sollte man, dass der Platz in der Hauptsaison vorrangig von Italienern genutzt wird, deutschsprachige Spielkameraden waren in der Nachsaison dann deutlich leichter zu finden. Die Waschhäuschen werden oft gereinigt und waren zwar nicht besonders hübsch aber funktional und in gutem Zustand. Selbst zu Stoßzeiten bei Vollbesetzung musste man höchstens kurz auf eine freie Dusche warten. Warmes Wasser gibt es kostenlos. Der Laden hat ein ausreichendes Sortiment und vernünftige Preise. Die Pistazien-Croissants sind einfach nur traumhaft lecker 🤤! Das Restaurant bietet echt leckeres Essen und das sogar gar nicht so teuer. Leider gab es in der Nachsaison keine Pizza mehr. Der Pool ist klein und nicht tief, aber eigentlich genau richtig, dass die Kinder planschen und wir endlich mal lesen konnten. Was uns aber endgültig begeistert hat, war das tolle Animationsteam! Der ‘Baby Dance’ um 21 Uhr war ein fester Punkt in unserem Tagesablauf und auch danach folgte immer noch tolles Programm. Ein absolutes Highlight war das ‘Spectaculum de Lucius’! Lucius hat 90 Minuten Kleinkunst vom Feinsten geboten (Clownerie, Zauberei, Tanz, Jonglage,…). Chapeau vor so viel Talent! Um zum Strand zu gelangen, muss man nur eine (recht stark befahrene) Straße überqueren und ist schon an einem wunderbar sauberen, seichten Sandstrand.

Disliked: Leider gibt es nur drei Waschmaschinen, so dass man manchmal recht lange warten muss.

There's loads to do in the area around Piomboni Camping Village, whether you want to stick around the dog-friendly and family-friendly beaches and the seafood restaurants, bars, shops and clubs of Marina di Ravenna, or have cultural days out on old city sightseeing trips. Utterly fab Ravenna is eight kilometres away by car, bike or bus: this was once the capital of the Byzantine empire and so is crammed with ancient churches, palaces and piazzas as well as many museums. And it's not all ancient these days, as plenty of restaurants, shops and bars are in town too. A little further afield are Bologna, San Marino and Ferrara, as well as the Parco Regionale Delta del Po/Po Delta Regional Park. For kid-friendly days out, the highly amusing amusement park of Mirabilandia is about 15 kilometres away.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Unsupervised minors must have a letter of authorisation from their parents or legal guardian.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
