  • Former tropical garden centre transformed into a charming campsite
  • Covered swimming pool and on-site bar restaurant
  • Barbecues encouraged
Would you like to know why Camping Parque Tropical on the Andalusian coast is called this way ? Well, it's because it's set on a very particular site, a former tropical garden centre blazing with exotic plants and flowers, that's why. And would you like to know another extremely positive feature about this welcoming Málaga park? Barbecues are positively encouraged. Another...? Its location at the foot of the Sierra Bermeja only five minutes from the nearest beach. On site, you'll be thrilled with all amenities on offer as the covered swimming pool open all year round (it's now the perfect moment for us to urge you to take a look to the site pics), free wifi and a bar and restaurant. The modern facilities include a mini market and shower/loo blocks powered by solar energy.

Local attractions

How much would you like to go and see some jolly and bouncing dolphins? The marine mammals, penguinarium, birds, snakes and guided tours of the Selwo Aventura Dolphinarium are only a kilometre from Camping Parque Tropical. Paintball, golf, diving and tennis are all within an hour as well as Gibraltar and its Barbary Macaques colony on Gilbraltar Rock, the only wild apes in all of Europe. Marbella and Málaga are also within an hour's drive: do to the former to spot celebrities, party, walk the ancient city walls and wander around the Old Town and Orange Square; at the ancient and latter town, go visit the Museo Picasso Málaga, Roman Theatre and have a walk along the Paseo del Parque. Within the same distance, we'd also recommend day trips to the mountaintop city of Ronda (it reminds us of Gondor) and to Puerto Banús, the very swish (and enviable) marina on the southwest of Marbella, highly regarded among posh individuals.
