Oh goodness, this is good. Camping Playa Paisaxe II is a family-friendly site on the Galician peninsula of San Vicente de o Grove, a short walk from the beach, and in splendid surroundings for active and outdoorsy Spanish hols tackling the likes of surfing, diving, golfing and hiking. Kayaks are also available on the beach and trips to the Islands of Ons, Sálvora and Cíes can be booked in reception. If you're more of a Spanish serenity seeker, you'll have two Jacuzzis on site to bubble away in, as well as a pool (with shallow area for tiddlers) surrounded by a solarium with sun loungers. Entertainment such as a kids' club, foodie events, aqua zumba, sports tournaments and live music is organised for guests by the Playa Paisaxe team. You can also say pffft to off-site shopping and on-site cooking via the assistance of the Playa Paisaxe supermarket, selling groceries, fruit and veg, newspapers and basic camping equipment, and the restaurant, specialising in Galician cuisine from set menus and a la carte as well as serving up pizzas. The on-site café has a roomy terrace for guests to mingle and where the summer theme nights take place. If you do want to dish up your own dins, the site also has a barbecue area for guests' use.

Local attractions

The peninsula of San Vicente de o Grove or O Grove around Camping Playa Paisaxe II is a popular place for swimming and Pontevedra tourism, or you could/should also flit around the Atlantic Islands of Galicia National Park and their archipelagos of Cortegada, Sálvora, Ons and Cíes, where beaut beaches come as standard. Guided tours along the Ría de Arousa and its islands are available, as well as kayak hire to DIY. If you're island hopping, the Camping Playa Paisaxe II team is firm that you must also have a day at Lanzada beach, an award winner and one of the biggest sandy stretches in Galicia. A short drive from the site will take you to fab Adro Vello, the ancient necropolis dating back to the fifth century.
