Sourdough Campground RV Park and Café is in a forested area in the small town of Tok, known as the sled dog capital of Alaska. The town hosts the famous Race of Champions sled dog race annually in late March, and visitors can often see dog demonstrations at some of the area's kennels. The town is a gateway for outdoor pursuits such as hiking, fishing and canoeing, and you can also try your hand at panning for gold in the local waterways. The on-site café sells home-cooked breakfasts, dinners and baked goods such as muffins, pies and bread. It's also the location of the popular evening 'pancake toss', where you can test your skills to win prizes such as a free breakfast. There's also free wifi, a launderette, a gift shop, an RV/car wash and washrooms with toilets and hot showers.
