50 Shades of news!

July 23, 2012

We’re in the news! That esteemed organ the Guardian has spotted our 50 Shades of Green news release, where we highlighted secluded adults-only campsites for romantic weekends away.

‘We can’t think of anything less sexy,’ the paper says on its Travel Corkboard today. ‘We know camping involves a lot of ropes but it’s not an activity normally associated with S&M.’

Awww. Apart from the fact that it wouldn’t be like newspapers to jump on the Fifty Shades of Grey bandwagon, we think the Grauniad folks might just not like camping. Which is a bit of a shame given that the sun is out, the holidays have started and we’ve had an 81% jump in bookings in the past week.

Perhaps the Travel Corkboard peeps could have a look at our guide to adults-only camping, where we list over 200 sites with accommodation options from camping pods in Powys to caravans for hire in Lincolnshire. We've got all sorts of filters to make your adults-only camping holiday just how you want it, such as sites where dogs are allowed, sites listed as peaceful, sites that are budget/backpacker, sites in a wildlife haven, sites with recycling available, or with a restaurant, or with fishing, or internet access, or near a beach...We've even got some naturist sites to browse through as well. Ropes included only if required.
