Liked: Beautiful view and farm walk and we had the place pretty much to ourselves although it was midweek in May. Also a big surprise was we had a great phone signal meaning we could access mobile data.
Disliked: The bossy staff weren't fun. Even over the phone before we booked, and we almost didn't because of the person answering. They must encounter a lot of rule breakers and thoughtless people because the must and must nots are repeated in signage and every time you encounter a member of staff. It wasn't for us unfortunately. They are slightly lacking in customer care skills. We're a middle aged couple - we don't break the rules.

From the manager: Hi, so sorry you felt unwelcome. Our farm shop and wider farm team pride themselves on being a friendly welcoming face to all visitors to the farm so we are sorry you didn’t feel this. Signage is for gentle reminders to protect the biodiversity/help manage the site responsibly (please no driving on vehicle free side, no fires on the ground, not taking logs from the wood etc). As a relaxed site without a campsite office/reception on the actual field we do find it helpful to have a couple of polite notices. Glad you enjoyed the quiet field though and that the mobile data was useful.
Not crowded with just the basics, like camping should be!

Liked: Loved the beautiful farm walk. Pitches protected from the wind with high hedge(with a few gaps if you're looking for views). Not crowded and loved the mown out tent pitches on the wild flower pitches. Basic compost toilets and showers but totally fine for us.
Disliked: A bit of traffic noise. Getting to campsite before 5pm on a Friday will be difficult for most.

Liked: Stayed for me to check in late. Great looking farm shop. Secure gate access to hidden site. Two areas, one for vehicle next to tent camping and one vehicles park and walk to pitch, not far though. Best views in the latter. Camping on standard meadow with the most dandelions I have ever seen, sound of a skylark, other birds, etc. Peaceful. Woodland, farmland walks. Good access to Cirencester, main roads, south Cotswolds area. I drove to Cheltenham quite quickly without issue.
Disliked: Bumpy track! But helps you drive slowly. :-)

Liked: The place is amazing. Very good views of the mountains. Flushable toilets which is a plus not all campsites have a flush system.
Disliked: As usual people making noise either in the morning or night. But that’s no fault of the place

Liked: Just back from an Easter Bank holiday weekend stay at Abbey Home Farm, we loved it so much that we booked another night to extend our break. Maya is a legend and cannot do enough to ensure you are welcomed and have everything you need. I have never seen such clean compost loos and showers (considering these are in the woods) which totally adds to the charm! I would defiantly say rent a fire pit, as it’s such a beautiful setting you want to sit outside as long as you can! Ignore any rubbish reviews, as that type of person needs to be in a 5 star hotel with grey walls and never speaking to their neighbours! We will defiantly return and can’t wait for when that will be!
Disliked: Seeing a rude guest wanting to sneak a dog into the site when this is clearly a dog free zone due to the live stock!

Liked: We stayed in a grassy car park area instead of the camper van spots due to the rain making the grass to wet, we were told this before we arrived and given the opportunity to get a full refund however it didn’t matter to us. The camp site was lovely the facilities are quirky and fun. Really enjoyed our time there and would definitely recommend and stay there again.
