Set among rural Norfolk scenery, Oxborough Meadows is a small-scale site set in a private open field on the edge of the pretty village of Oxborough. Located in a quiet spot off the main road at the end of a well-maintained farm track, staying here is a relaxing and rural experience, but you've still got the village's amenities (including a pub and a kids' play area) roughly a mile and a half down the road. This pop-up campsite keeps things simple and straightforward with its portable toilet facilities; please note that there is no running water on site, and showers will need to be sourced elsewhere. On the whole, this is a relaxed and family-friendly set-up: you can park by the pitch, so you won't have to lug your camping kit across the field, and well-behaved dogs are welcome to join you. There are lots of footpaths and country walks close by, including nature trails in Gooderstone (five minutes' drive), the next village along, where there are also peaceful water gardens to explore. Closer to base still are the grand grounds of Oxborough Hall (a mile and a half from site), a National Trust-managed medieval manor surrounded by a moat.
