Electric grass tent pitch (XL)

Liked: Me and my friend took our step sons (7+9) here for a 'lads weekend' ,we had the XL tent pitch with electric, this place is just perfect for families and children. The tent pitch had ample space, electric hookup just a few metres away, fresh water tap right next to the spot. The ground has no bumps or divets, flat and level perfect for tents. The tents are lined along the fence, the pods are the other side of the field, leaving a large grass area where the kids spent hours playing football, Frisbee etc, all within eyeshot of us at the tent enjoying a few cold ones. The site in general looks very well keot, grass trimmed, clean, spacious. The facilities are spotless, showers run nice and hot, 3 of them in the men's along with 3 toilets and 4 sinks. Potwash facility is nice and tidy with hot running water. A few chickens roaming loose which the kids loved! Supermarket 1 mile down the road for supply runs, Bridlington half an hour away, perfect location! We did arrive after 6pm due to traffic but called the owner who was very friendly and understanding and the later arrival wasn't an issue. The kids have already asked to go on another lads trip and requested returning here. Me and my friend are both looking forward to visiting again too.

Liked: Lovely clean, peaceful site. Owner very friendly and lovely. Facilities very clean and modern. Pitches well maintained and level with hard standing surrounded by grassed areas. Dog friendly 🐶 ❤️ Lovely walks around the site. Great value for money. Will definitely be back and recommending to others.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked: Very spacious, lovely cut, green grass. Everything on site that you would need. Local amenities include a Big Tesco 5 mins away, town centre and pebble beach 15 mins away, some lovely cafe's and lake to visit. Staff at White cottage were very friendly and very accomodating.

Disliked: The stone road on entry to the site, kept thinking my tyres were going to pop.

Liked: All of it, easy to find, greeted with a smile, level pitches, spotless facilities, washing up area with hot water. Amazing Pizza night. New addition this year of the coffee and cake . Coffee/ tea/ hot chocolate with WOW cakes.

Local attractions

Get onto one of the local footpaths or trails from White Cottage Holiday Park, or tackle as much as you dare of the Trans Pennine Trail, which finishes up in Hornsea after its epic run east from Merseyside's Southport. Its mainly traffic-free route is suitable for horse riding and bikes too (and in most cases buggies and wheelchairs) and it was voted the best National Cycle Network in the country in 2015. Also within easy reach is Hornsea Mere, the biggest freshwater lake in Yorkshire and where peeps flock to for birdwatching, rowing, sailing, boat trips and fishing. Set on the remains of a vast wetland, it's a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Special Protection Area for birds, with many species visiting throughout the year. A café and 18-hole putting green are on the mere's shore. White Cottage is 13 miles from Beverley, with rail access to York and Hull for shopping and days out. You could also wander around the many stately homes of the region, such as Burton Constable Hall, Burton Agnes and Rise Hall.

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).
Your dog must be tattooed or microchipped.

Extras

Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

Quiet hours must be respected between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.

Hired accommodation

Hired accommodation: a £150.00 damage/cleanliness deposit hold is required prior to arrival and will be released within 24 hours of your departure date after inspection of your unit should no damage/losses be found. The damage deposit will automatically be pre-authorised in advance on the card used to make your booking.
No naked flames are allowed inside the hired accommodation units.

Occupancy
