Liked: Nothing
Disliked: Arrived at the site, lots of threatening signage advising burglars should carry details of their next of kin, but decided from a distance that the place looked pretty peaceful. Called the number to obtain the code for the gate, no answer just a very rude voicemail message advising not to leave voicemail. Text to advise at gate and need code, waited 20 minutes and had no response despite a couple more calls being made. Decided to go to a lovely fishing lake 15 minutes up the road for the night. Site owner finally messaged back 3 hours later with the no code and no apology!

Non-electric grass and earth tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked: Nice scenery, it all "looked" peaceful. I went for a walk to the River Don, brilliant place. A short walk to Cusworth Hall as well. Toilet facilities with running water and soap. May be nice for small groups to socialize, have a fire etc.
Disliked: There is a busy road nearby so all I could hear was car noises, also at night. I struggled with opening and closing the gates to get to the toilet which was on a separate field nearby with sheep's grazing (not aligned properly, I could not really leave it open, I felt, which stressed me out). Unable to open the main gate (rusty bolt) so had to climb out and climb back in after the walk in the morning. I don't have lots of strength in my hands so others may be fine but it was a deal breaker for me.

Liked: Lovely setting, very basic site (which is how I like them!), I saw from another review that there were only "portaloos" there so that's what I was expecting, but actually the loos were proper flushable ones, they kind you get at a posh wedding! They were very clean. The site was what I needed for a very peaceful night.
Disliked: Not being able to pay in full upfront. I didn't quite know where I could or could not pitch

Liked: We had the place to ourselves, when we eventually got to the pitch as seen in the photos it was fairly tranquil.
Disliked: No water available on site. No working toilet on site despite being advertised. No signs evident as to where the site is. Initially placed in an overgrown field where we were unable to pitch our awning, was moved to the pitch that is advertised when we complained Close to a road. Owner texted us a code to enter the site but only when we asked for it. The gate is very stiff and difficult to open. There’s a number of passive aggressive signs onto the site that suggest that they’re happy to murder any trespassers.
