Liked: Lovely remote spot. Ideal as a one night /2 night stop-over, or as a base for exploring the area and having a safe spot to park up over night. Very economical. The on-site facilities are very basic - portaloo, fresh water, grey water disposal. Toilet cassette empty point. Rubbish bin. This is a no frills site, only suitable for motorhomes, campervans. It's a safe way to 'wild camp' as in a locked, secure area, but you do need to rely on your own on-board facilities. It is a flat area. The 'site' is waste-ground on what used to be a port where many years ago ships would collect Iron Ore. The Quay area is industrial. The site is right on the edge of the estuary. Lots of dog walkers pass by. It's a beautiful, peaceful area with Scafell Pike visible right across the estuary. Good phone signal, 4g available. There are approximately 5 pitches. Wooden Picnic benches are placed on each 'pitch' I would definitely stay here again. Louise is a very friendly 'host' very helpful.

Liked: We liked everything about this site. Louise is an excellent host who communicates with you from the moment you book. She came down to our pitch to meet us when we arrived and made us feel really welcome. The site itself is a large gravelled area that overlooks the estuary with beautiful views. There is a short walk to a sandy beach which our dog loved. The area is secured by a locked gate which you are given the code to so you can come and go as you please. The same code unlocks the immaculately clean portaloo. This is an ideal site if you are self sufficient and looking for some peace and quiet. We would definitely return.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Stayed at Estuary View for one night. Staying in a self sufficient van so didn't need any amenities, just some where safe and beautiful. We certainly got that here, the views are amazing here and its calm and peaceful. The owner Louise contacted us with the codes to the gate and came to meet us and check we were okay. There is a porta loo (best kept!) water and waste disposal if needed. Would return!
