  • Small peaceful rural Devon site 15 minutes' drive from Dartmoor
  • Paignton, Torquay, Exeter and Plymouth within a half-hour drive
  • Eco-friendly site with campfires permitted; pub half an hour's walk
Bramble Meadow is a small peaceful site in an enviable Devon spot between the south coast and Dartmoor National Park, a couple of miles from the little village of Denbury. This two-acre meadow is just the place for a real rural retreat, with lots of places to walk or ride bikes nearby, a village pub half an hour’s walk away, campfire evenings permitted and numbers on site kept low so it never feels crowded. That countryside setting doesn’t mean being stranded far from all the action though – various facilities and amenities are 10 minutes’ drive away in Newton Abbot, and you can hit the city streets of Exeter or Plymouth in about half an hour. Torquay, Paignton, Teignmouth and Dawlish are all within a half-hour drive for your beach days, and Dartmoor is about 15 minutes away if you’d like to trek around the tors, wetlands and ancient sites. It’s an eco-friendly setting at Bramble Meadow, which operates as a Greener Camping Club site – if you need any encouragement to book a stay here, perhaps bear in mind that a tree is planted for each new member (thus allowing you to feel like you’ve done some good simply by going on holiday…)
