Liked: I love everything about this place. This is our second time staying here. After our first visit last year we just had to return! The site is in an excellent location. It is sheltered from the wind, the harbour is within walking distance, the sound of the stream is idyllic, the grass is well kept and the toilets were clean and well stocked with loo roll. The air fresheners definitely keep the smells at bay too! The tap water is fresh and clean and the fields are never overcrowded. The views of the sky at night are amazing and to hear the owls hooting really sets the scene. Falling asleep (and waking up) to the sound of the water flowing down the stream is so peaceful. We cannot wait to come back again!
Disliked: Not necessarily a dislike, more of a suggestion; a shower would be super helpful. Even a cold pop up style one would be appreciated. We'd love to be able to stay for an extra day or two but without a shower it's not ideal to stay for more than 2 nights, or part take in any adventurous activities on day 1. Unfortunately there aren't any beach showers at any nearby beaches either (that we are aware of) so it makes things a little inconvenient. It would be nice to be able to wash properly after a day in the sea or out on other adventures.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked: Really sweet small campsite, the stream sounds really calming at night, very close to the town where there’s plenty of independent shops and the harbour, great communication from the owner when I called, for portaloos they were very clean and the water was ice cold and fresh, would definitely stay here again
Disliked: (Not a dislike, more of disclaimer) The site consists of 2 fields, we drove through the first field that was full and almost got stuck in the mud driving to the second, before realising that there are separate entrances so could’ve saved some panic

Liked: Peace and quiet, sound of the stream. Other campers were lovely. And our dog had a great time. Easy walk to the village, and other walks in the woods.

Liked: Dark skies, hooting owls, gurgling stream, campfire, not crowded.
Disliked: The portaloos hum. There were loads of grass clippings which got everywhere.

Liked: -Very pretty area particularly the stream which was useful for keeping cool and bathing -Cheap and simple campsite -Very independent, no nannying campsite officials to bother about, you just show up, pitch up and leave of your own accord -Helpfully close to St David’s (small city) and Sova (small town)
Disliked: Unfortunately, portaloos will always be the worst thing ever created by humanity.
