  • Touring park a couple of minutes' drive from Skegness beach
  • Spacious family-friendly site; pets welcome too
  • Secure site with well-equipped touring pitches
Set up back in 2016 on open farmland just on the outskirts of Lincolnshire seaside capital Skegness: if you want busy and seaside town days along with days among green Lincolnshire countryside, petite and clean Skegness Fields is a well-placed pick. Pitches are hardstanding ones for tourers and motorhomes, and come with electric hook-up and a water point. The smart facilities include a swish shower and toilet block, washing-up area and chemical disposal. As it's a family-friendly site, Skegness Fields has plenty of room for kids to roam and grownups to relax; it's a safely-kept site too, with a fully secure barrier entry system. The sands of Skegness are a couple of minutes' drive, a leisurely stroll or a quick bus ride away.

Fully-serviced concrete slab caravan site

Liked: First off all let me say that the site is immaculate, the facilities are clean, modern and well maintained and the staff friendly enough. The pitches are large enough with individual hook up points with water taps.

Disliked: The main problems with the site are noise and location. If you are wanting a beach side location then this isn’t for you. The beach is a couple of miles away and takes about 40 mins to walk, if you don’t mind packing your van up, unhooking and resetting up then I suppose it’s ok. The other problem is noise, both from the main road next to the site and from other guests who are partying and walking around the site until 4am in the morning, disturbing other guests and their dogs. Did not lend itself to a peaceful stay.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked: We arrived around noon on Thursday 22nd May, pitched the tent and headed off for a walk around Skegness, which is approx 30 minutes away. The reception, ablutions and the site in general, is first class.

Disliked: Unfortunately, 2 of our 3 nights were disturbed by young campers, who were very loud, until the early hours. We mentioned this, when checking out and we're advised that there was a number to ring and security would come to assist. Might of been an idea to have mentioned this, when checking in.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked: Great location, a few minutes drive to Skegness. The toilet and shower block was amazing, so warm even in the middle of the night, spotlessly clean and super modern. Showers were lovely. We stayed term time and in a tent and were the only o es there. Flat field ideal for tents and football for the boys!

Local attractions

Wander, take the car, or get the bus that stops just across the road from Skegness Fields to seaside town Skegness for days of coast and sand. The beach, sea and pier will likely be many folks' first stops (probably followed by a bag of hot fish and chips or an ice cream on the sands), but do take time too to get to the town's other top attractions, like the Natureland Seal Sanctuary and the fab and wild Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve just outside the centre. From Skegness, travel along the coast to Ingoldmells for a knuckle-tightening time at Fantasy Island, the mammoth amusement park with the world’s longest suspended rollercoaster and Europe’s longest looping rollercoaster. (A mammoth indoor market is also in town to totter to if you need to soothe yourself afterwards.) Other options around the sea and Lincolnshire are trips further along the coast to Sutton on Sea, Mablethorpe and on to Saltfleet, and inland to the walks and bike rides of the flat Wolds, or staggering under the weight of piles of newly purchased produce at Lincolnshire's market towns like Louth, Alford and Horncastle.
