Liked: Absolutely loved everything about this place. The staff that are so enthusiastic about the work being done on the site the nature and the stunning canopy that you get to sleep below. The pitches are few and far between and this is a good thing meaning the only thing to disturb you every day is the bird song and not your noisy neighbours.
Disliked: I wasn't allowed to set up a real survivalist camp fire using the sticks and twigs that nature provided but understood it was for the natural preservation of the wildlife from deer and bird down to the smallest bug.

Liked: First time here, we loved the induction, loved the pitch and all that was to offer! The camp was stunning! Plenty to do in the surrounding area, no car used! The toilets were always clean and everyone was very helpful! Thankyou so much!
Disliked: The wood we purchased was too thick to burn. Another camper helped us with a axe.

Liked: I’ve rated 5 although I’ll never camp there again! Not through any fault of this beautiful place! What they are achieving is amazing and the grounds are stunning. The staff go above and beyond, they are the kindest, loveliest people. The forest area is just stunning. You often hear the sound of trains in the distance and if it’s not trains it’s wildlife. You really do have your own little area of woodland to camp in which is just as it says. You can have a fire pit, there’s designated wood for kids to build and experiment with! I honestly feel everyone saw the worst in me there but that was no fault of this lovely place! It’s just not what I expected and it was just too much for me. Pitchup definitely sugar coated this place!
Disliked: I hated it! That’s just me though. Please don’t pass over this wonderful place. I like some home comforts, shared toilets and a cold water sink to wash up in is not my cup of tea but I guess that is real forest camping. The mud, sludge and I have to say it! I never ever want to see a wheelbarrow ever again! You take all your belongings from your car to your designated area by wheel barrow and the reason behind it is amazing! I get it! But I felt like we did 10 trips up and down a mountain. I’m pretty sure mountain goats clock up less steps in a day. I honestly feel like it brought out the worst in me but think that was exhaustion, having a 1 year old with us and it just not being what we thought it was. But if you love the great outdoors and travel light this is right up your street! Grab your bags and head over if it’s for you! The right people! You’ll love it! But travel light!

Liked: Absolutely amazing facilities- perfect for our needs. We are a couple of young scout leaders who like to go camping in our spare time and this is the closest to wild camping that we can find that is affordable and suitable for us! This time we decided to brave it and use our hammocks and the team we’re so accommodating and helped us to find the perfect site for our needs.

Liked: This is an amazing campsite and as close to wildcamping as you can get. The hosts were great, nice toilet block, access to buy firewood and wheelbarrows to transport your gear to the pitch. Our pitch was lovely and secluded. We had a very relaxing evening by the campfire. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.
