Liked: The site itself is currently being improved, which is evident the grass tent pitches are near the toilets and shower blocks which is handy. The site is minimal, but peaceful and the site caretaker, Gordon, is a lovely guy, an assett to the site, full of knowledge of the local area and extremely helpful and can see he works hard managing and tending to the site alone.
Disliked: Although they done what they needed, the toilets and showers are a little dated, but useable and there is only one male and female shower, can imagine, in busier times it being a pain trying to use shower.

Liked: - donkeys provided great entertainment for kids - Gordon was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and reliable - toilets were kept clean - well located for days out - shower was hot (great for adults, not for kids as only one temperature)
Disliked: - not enough toilet and shower facilities - steps down to facilties not safe for children - wash up area very dark and full of spiders. Roof unsafe - washing machine area only unlocked on request & smelled so horrible that we bought new clothes rather than using it - ground was dry when we pitched but became very swampy beneath the tent with rain; site very boggy in general by our pitch - not safe for young kids to play as there were a lot of ditches and stinging nettles

Liked: My partner and I loved our stay at this campsite, great location for local pubs, walks and shops. and we had plenty of space to pitch our tent. We particularly loved Gordon (flash) the campsite boss, he was so friendly and helpful and we loved having a natter with him! We cant wait to go again next year.
Disliked: The weather forecast as we would have stayed longer.

Liked: The guy on site was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. The village is amazing.
Disliked: Thus site is a work in progress. It is a building site at the bottom where we were located. There is a compound for machinery, but dumpers etc just left out. There are several scrap caravans and containers left open, some containing fuel, very dangerous. Lits of rubbish to be seen. Bins were all overflowing. No dog waste bins, and nowhere on site to walk dogs. Worst was the toilet/shower blocks. Altho clean, very very dated. Only 1 toilet in the men's and 1 shower, 2 in the ladies and 1 shower. No where near enough and the site is expanding. BUILD MORE TOILETS FIRST.
