Primitive grass campsite (lake view, no pets)
Liked: Large, well kept campsite. Lots of activities, but these were all booked when we visited. Very good toilet and shower area, clean with good lighting. Hot water never seemed to run out which is great. Large communual firepit, which is nice to have. Fair price for the facilities on offer, I would visit again and book some activities ahead of my travel. However, as a first timer to this site, I did find it hard to find out what activities were available. It seemed on the day of our arrival, a large party had booked all the activities.
Disliked: Quiet times were from 10pm, but it seems these were not monitored as some neighbours continued talking loudly and yelling at their kids till well past 11pm.

Powered grass campsite (lake view, no pets)
Liked: We stayed in the lake side camping which was full of families and perfect. Toilets were clean, showers were great. Lots to do from canoeing, archery, orienteering and free play parks. Nice forest walks to the north of the campsite. The archery leader was lovely and the kids did well with his instruction. Very quiet and peaceful site. Beautiful scenery.
Disliked: Grumpy man in the cafe who was on his phone and seemed annoyed that we stopped him texting to order.

Primitive grass campsite (lake view, no pets)
Liked: Beautiful site, great location for exploring forest and coast. Lots of activities available. Lots for kids to run off and explore safely. Only 15 min drive to big Sainsburys in Christchurch for supplies.
Disliked: Mobile signal was intermittent and I use the phone to plan next day activities. I didn’t go to reception for WiFi though. Ablution block was a little grubby - but it was very rainy. On Bournemouth airport flight path. Planes are infrequent but come in low.

Liked: Everything! The washroom & toilet facilities were great, always clean and well stocked. The washing-up facilities we're always clean and never too busy given the number of people on the site. The site is laid out really nicely with plenty of room for big tents etc without feeling like you're sitting on your neighbour's lap. The site has so many (pre-bookable) activities we didn't know where to start. We'll definitely be staying again.
Disliked: The only criticism is that the mobile phone signal is pretty sketchy across the park, but that's not the fault of the site. Plus, there's free wifi up at the main building for if people are desperate to re-connect with the outside world.
